CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – For returning students continuing their journey to U.S. citizenship, Literacy Volunteers of Charlottesville/Albemarle (LVCA) is offering a dedicated evening “Citizenship Review & Practice Class.” This weekly, online-only course is specifically designed for learners who have already completed initial citizenship studies with LVCA and are seeking to solidify their knowledge and build confidence for their naturalization interview. The class is conveniently scheduled to accommodate those with daytime obligations.
The four-week session will be held every Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM, beginning on July 9, 2025. Conducted entirely on Zoom, the class allows students to participate from the comfort of their homes.
Under the expert guidance of LVCA’s Citizenship Coordinator, Catherine McCall, this class moves beyond basic instruction to focus on intensive review and practice. As a course for “returning students only,” the curriculum is tailored for those who have a foundational understanding of the civics content and the naturalization process. The later start time also makes it an ideal option for students who work or have other commitments during the day.
Participants in this advanced review class can expect an interactive environment focused on:
This evening class is a crucial part of LVCA’s comprehensive support system for prospective new citizens, which includes a range of services from initial tutoring to final interview preparation.
