CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – For returning adult learners who are continuing their journey toward U.S. citizenship, Literacy Volunteers of Charlottesville/Albemarle (LVCA) is offering an exclusive online “Citizenship Review & Practice Class.” This course is specifically designed for students who have previously engaged with LVCA’s citizenship program and are looking to deepen their understanding and polish their skills before the naturalization interview.
The class will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM for four sessions, beginning on July 9, 2025. Conducted entirely on Zoom, the class provides a convenient and accessible way for students to continue their studies from home.
Led by LVCA’s dedicated Citizenship Coordinator, Catherine McCall, this session is tailored to the needs of students who have already established a foundational knowledge of the required material. Unlike introductory classes, this review and practice course will likely delve more deeply into the nuances of the civics questions, provide intensive practice for the English reading and writing portions of the exam, and offer detailed review of the N-400 application.
Participants can expect a focused, interactive learning environment where they can:
This class is a vital component of LVCA’s comprehensive citizenship program, which aims to provide continuous support to clients from their initial application to their final interview. As this is a course for “returning students only,” new students interested in LVCA’s free citizenship preparation services are encouraged to first attend a Volunteer Information Session or contact LVCA directly to learn about beginner-level classes and tutoring options.
